This measure would: require notices and hearings on insurance rate increases; establish a supplemental malpractice insurance program; require license revocation proceedings after three malpractice incidents; and limit numbers of expert witnesses in lawsuits. Should this measure be enacted into law? YES ♦ ill NO ♦ -a AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION PROPOSED BY THE LEGISLATURE SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 8207 The legislature has proposed a constitutional amendment on qualifications for service on the commission on judicial conduct. This amendment would permit one member of the commission on judicial conduct to be selected by and from the judges of all courts of limited jurisdiction. Should this constitutional amendment be: APPROVED ♦ •4 REJECTED ♦ no I - COUNTY MEASURES WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON PROPOSITION NO.1 SALES AND USE TAX FOR COUNTIES AND CITIES The Whatcom County Council passed Resolution No. 2005-043 concerning a proposition to authorize a sales and use tax as allowed by law and for the provision of countywide emergency medical services. This ballot proposition would authorize the imposition of a sales and use tax, in addition to any other taxes authorized by law, of one -tenth of one percent (0.1% -- 10 cents for every $100), two- thirds to a used solely for costs associated with the provision of countywide emergency medical services and one-third for criminal justice purposes, as authorized by RCW 82.14.450, This proposition should be: APPROVED ♦ me REJECTED ♦ •4 WHATCOM COUNTY CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. I Shall Section 2.13 of the Whatoom County Charter be amended to provide that each member of the County Council, except for Council -at -large, be elected by majority vote by voters in his/her own Council District?
