HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974 - Water District 13 Formation July, 23 1974RE: FORMATION OF WHATCOM COUNTY ) RESOLUTION WATER DISTRICT NO. 13 ) WHEREAS, the returns of the election for the formation of a water district in the Peaceful Valley area have been duly canvassed, and WHEREAS, of the votes cast on the proposition for the formation of the water district 3 votes were cast in favor of the organization of said district and no votes were cast against the same: that of the votes cast on the proposition authorizing the water district to levy a general tax of $1.25 per thousand dollars of assessed value for general preliminary expenses of the district, 3 votes were cast in favor of the levy and no votes were cast against the levy, said vote being a majority of three -fifths of the electors thereof voting on the proposition and being not less than forty percent of the total number of votes cast in the district at the last preceding general State election held therein, as provided in R.C.W. 57.04.050. J.
