Qualified electors of the district at the General Election to be held therein on November 6 2001, a proposition of whether or not there should be levied t!n excess tax of approximately $ ( . /t9,4'>cents) per thousand dollars of assessed valuation (based on 1000/6 of true and ftur value) to provide $30,000 (thirty thousand dollars) for the districts General Fund to pay the general expenses of maintenance and operation of the Point Roberts Park and Recreation District # 1, such levy to made in 2001 and collection in 2002 and in 2003 WHEREAS, the money in :utd to be paid into the General Fund of the point Roberts Park and Recreation District #1, Whatcom County, Washington, during 2002 and 2001 will be insufficient to enable the district to teke care of all of its necessary financial obligations, and WHEREAS, in order to properly pro�vtd�. for said operation and maintenance, it is deemed necessary tlt<nt a tax of approximately $. YES - 3 4Initiative This measure would require state and local governments to limit property tax levy increases to 1% per year, unless an increase greater than this limit is approved by the voters at an election. PROPOSED BY INITIATIVE PETITION: INITIATIVE TO THE PEOPLE 773 YES - 7 4 Initiative Measure No. 773 concerns additional tobacco taxes for low- income health programs and other programs.
