The proposition would issue $46,000,000 of general obligation bonds and collect excess property taxes annually to repay the bonds to replace Lynden Middle School, replace and modernize portions of Fisher Elementary School, and refund certain outstanding bonds, the proceeds of which were used to acquire land. Minimum Numbers for Validation: Number of persons voting last General Election: 7,423 40% Minimum Turnout Required: 2,970 Needs 60% Yes Vote of TOTAL Turnout Actual Results: Approved - 3,397 56.92% Rejected - 2,571 43.08% Total Votes - 5,968 The minimum required turnout was met, however, the proposition did not receive at least a 60% yes vote of the total turnout and therefore, Failed.
