I hereby certify that I and members of my Election Division staff have reviewed the
petition for Annexation into the South West Fire Authority District submitted to this office by
Dave Ralston, Fire Chief.
Per RCW 52.04.051, the petition must be signed by the owners according to the
records of the county auditor of not less than sixty percent of the area of land included in the
annexation petition.
We have verified that of the eight parcels of land included in the petition, six current
land owners signed the petition, and the property involved represents 69% of the area of land
included in the petition.

The 45-day time period for taking jurisdiction of BRB #2018-01 expired April 13, 2018.
Therefore, the Notice of Intention to annex 8 properties into the South Whatcom Fire
Authority, as described in file BRB #2018-01 is deemed approved pursuant to RCW
36.93.100.
All appropriate Whatcom County Departments will be notified so that appropriate
adjustments are made.

The complete Notice of Intention for the proposed annexation of 8 properties into
the South Whatcom Fire Authority district boundaries was received by the
Boundary Review Board for Whatcom County and, after review for completeness
of the materials and accuracy of the legal description of the affected property,
was accepted for filing February 28, 2018.
The forty-five day lapse period, day one being the file date, ends April 13, 2018.
