MEETING NOTICE
The Canvassing Board of Whatcom County, pursuant to R.C.W.
29.62.020, will meet at 9:15, Monday, March 16, 1992, at the office
of Shirley Forslof, County Auditor, Whatcom County Courthouse, 311
Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington, to canvass the votes cast at
the Special Election held March 10, 1992. These meetings of the
Canvassing Board are open public meetings under the applicable
provisions of chapter 42.30 R.C.W. and shall be continued until the
activity for which the meetings are held have been completed. A
record of the proceedings of the County Canvassing Board shall be
made and maintained in the County Auditor's Office and shall be
made available for public inspection and copying. The record shall
be retained for the same time period required by law for the

Thank you for scheduling the use of the Glacier Fire Hall at 9949
Mt Baker Hwy, Glacier WA, for the March 10, 1992 Election per our
conversation of a few days ago.
Glacier Fire and Rescue Proposition No 1 for Emergency Medical
Services is scheduled for the Election on the above mentioned date.
As you know the polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on
Election day. An Election Precinct Officer will contact you to
make arrangements to gain entrance on the day of election. The
Officer will need to gain entry around 6:15 the day of Election.

RESOLUTION NO. 99
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES REGULAR LEVY
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF GLACIER FIRE AND n
RESCUE, PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
OF THE DISTRICT AT AN ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN THE DISTRICT
ON MARCH 10, 1992, OF A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A
REGULAR PROPERTY TAX IN THE SUM OF $.25 per $1000 ASSESSED VALUATION
EACH YEAR FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS BEGINNING IN 1992 TO BE COLLECTED
IN 1993 FOR THE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ALL AS
PROVIDED IN THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON RCW 84.52.069
WHEREAS: It is the judgment of the Board of Commissioners of
the district that it is essential and necessary for the
protection of the hearth and life of the residents
of the district that the emergency medical services
enumerated in this resolution be provided by the
district. Such services will necessitate the expen-
diture of revenues for maintenance, operations and
equipment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
GLACIER FIRE AND RESCUE, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the district shall provide emergency
medical care of emergency medical services, including related
personnel costs, training for such personnel, and related
equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the
provision of emergency medical care or emergency medical services.
SECTION 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate
to pay the costs of the providing of life protection services
as described in Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain
reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such
services, the district shall levy in 1992, and collect in 1993,
a general tax on taxable property within the district, maintenance
and operation costs in the amount of $.25 per $1000 of assessed
valuation.
SECTION 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified
electors of the district for their ratification or,rejection,
at an election on March 10, 1992 the question of whether or not
such levy for maintenance and operations shall b ade.
