Pursuant to a notice given by Wella Hansen, County Auditor of Whatcom
County, Washington, the undersigned, C. J. Johnson, Chairman of the Board
of County Commissioners of said County, and David S. McEachran, Prosecuting
Attorney of said County, now meet with Wella Hansen, County Auditor of said
County, at the seat of said county on the 19th day of June, 1975 for the
purpose of canvassing the votes cast in the Whatcom County Fire Protection
District No. 19 Formation Election held within the voting precinct comprising
said District in the County of Whatcom, State of Washington, on the 17th
day of June, 1975.

do solemnly swear that the returns purporting to be the election returns of
the Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19 Election in Whatcom County,
Washington, have been in no wise altered by additions or erasures, and that they
are the same as when I received them, except that the votes of the absentee
voters have been added, SO HELP ME GOD.

The undersigned, being the officers designated by the law and constituting
the canvassing board in and for the County of Whatcom, State of Washington,
hereby certify that the following is a true and correct canvass of the votes
polled in Whatcom County, State of Washington, Fire Protection District No. 19,
which was held in a certain voting precinct in Whatcom County on Tuesday,
June 17, 1975, as taken from the official returns. That said statement and
returns contain the total number of votes cast, the titles of the offices
sought and all contestants. That the total number of votes cast in the voting
precinct of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19, in the County of
Whatcom, State of Washington held on June 17, 1975 is as follows:

DISTRICT NO. 19 )
WHEREAS, the County Election Board of Whatcom County, Washington,
being the officers designated by statute and constituting the Canvassing
Board in and for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19, State
of Washington, to canvass the votes cast for and against Fire Protection
District No. 19, at the said election held on the 17th day of June, 1975,
and
WHEREAS, the said County Election Board certified that a total of
46 votes were cast; that 43 votes were cast for the formation of Fire
Protection District No. 19; that 3 votes were cast against the formation
of said District; that of the votes cast -for Commissioners for said
District, Dale Marr received 40 votes, Gary Graham received 31 votes
and Jake Steiner received 38 votes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that as a result of said election
the following described territory is now duly organized as a fire
protection district and shall hereafter be known -as Whatcom County Fire
Protection District No. 19:
Beginning at the Section corner common to Sections 28, 29, and
32 and 33, Township 40 North, Range 6 East, W.M: thence, easterly
along south lines of Sections 28 and 27,to the $E corner of the
SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Section 27; thence, southerly to
the east --west center line of said Section 3.4; thence, easterly

In the event that any lands lie both within the above described
boundaries and a forest protection.assessment area, they shall be
taxed and/or assessed according to the provisions contained,in RCW
52.16.170.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the three candidates at said election
receiving the highest number of votes, to -wit: Dale Mart, Gary Graham
and Jake Steiner, are hereby declared to be the duly elected Fire
Commissioners of said Whatcom County Fire Protection,District No. 19.

We, the undersigned Fire District Committee for the proposed
establishment of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19,
hereby assume all responsibility for all expenses incurred for
publication and filing fees, and for incidental and legal ex-
penses set forth and provided in the statutes for the formation
of Fire Protection Districts as set forth'in the Session Laws
of 1935 and subsequent legislation.

PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 19 )
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of April, 1975, a petition was filed
with the Board of County Commissioners petitioning said Board, under
the provisions of RCW 52.04 to take the actions necessary for the
formation of a Fire Protection District, embracing lands hereinafter
described in this Resolution, and
WHEREAS, said petition was duly certified to this Board by the
County Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington, as having affixed
thereto the necessary number of signatures of qualified and registered
voters residing within the boundaries of the said proposed Fire
Protection District, and
WHEREAS, said petition alleges that the formation of a Fire
Protection District will be conducive to the public welfare, safety
and convenience, and
WHEREAS, this Board did on April 7, 1975, fix a date and place
of public hearing on the said petition, at the hour of 10:00 a.m.,
on Thursday, May 1, 1975, in the public hearing room, second floor,

and regularly poste and putlished all in conformity with law, and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was

Fire Protection District who shall vote upon the proposition of the

"Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19".
2. That the proposed District comprises the lands situated in
Whatcom County, Washington, outside of the limits of any city or town,
lying within the following described boundaries, to -wit:

WHEREAS, the County Election Board of Whatcom County, Washington,
being the officers designated by statute and constituting the Canvassing
Board in and for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19, State
of Washington, to canvass the votes cast for and against Fire Protection
District No. 19, at the said election held on the 17th day of June, 1975,

WHEREAS, the said County Election Board certified that a total of
46 votes were cast; that 43 votes were cast for the formation of Fire
Protection District No. 19; that 3 votes were cast against the formation
