Johnson, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of said County, and David S. McEachran, Prosecuting Attorney of said County, now meet with Wella Hansen, County Auditor of said County, at the seat of said county on the 19th day of June, 1975 for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast in the Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19 Formation Election held within the voting precinct comprising said District in the County of Whatcom, State of Washington, on the 17th day of June, 1975. Chairman, �d of County Commissioners `a Prosecuting Attorney of Whatcom County for of Whatcom BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF -FORMATION OF ) WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION ) R E S O L U T I O N DISTRICT NO. 19 ) WHEREAS, the County Election Board of Whatcom County, Washington, being the officers designated by statute and constituting the Canvassing Board in and for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19, State of Washington, to canvass the votes cast for and against Fire Protection District No. 19, at the said election held on the 17th day of June, 1975, and WHEREAS, the said County Election Board certified that a total of 46 votes were cast; that 43 votes were cast for the formation of Fire Protection District No. 19; that 3 votes were cast against the formation of said District; that of the votes cast -for Commissioners for said District, Dale Marr received 40 votes, Gary Graham received 31 votes and Jake Steiner received 38 votes. A representative group of registered voters living in the confines of the proposed District # 19 submit the following names of eligible voters for consideration for the post of fire commissioner and/or commissioners when an election is called for by the County Board. IN THE MATTER OF THE FORMATION ) OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE ) RESOLUTION PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 19 ) WHEREAS, on the 7th day of April, 1975, a petition was filed with the Board of County Commissioners petitioning said Board, under the provisions of RCW 52.04 to take the actions necessary for the formation of a Fire Protection District, embracing lands hereinafter described in this Resolution, and WHEREAS, said petition was duly certified to this Board by the County Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington, as having affixed thereto the necessary number of signatures of qualified and registered voters residing within the boundaries of the said proposed Fire Protection District, and WHEREAS, said petition alleges that the formation of a Fire Protection District will be conducive to the public welfare, safety and convenience, and WHEREAS, this Board did on April 7, 1975, fix a date and place of public hearing on the said petition, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 1, 1975, in the public hearing room, second floor, Co rthou e, Belling m, Was'ing o . Notices of said hearing were duly and regularly poste and putlished all in conformity with law, and WHEREAS, said public hearing was fixed in said notice of public hearing that all proceedings heretofore had in compliance with the provisions of law, proposed Fire Protection District will welfare, safety and convenience, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: duly held at the time and place and the Board being satisfied the matter are in substantial and that the formation of the be conducive to the public 1. That subject to the approval of three -fifths of the qualified and registered electors residing within the boundaries of the proposed Fire Protection District who shall vote upon the proposition of the formation of said District at a special election hereinafter provided for in this Resolution, the proposed District shall be designated as "Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 19". 2.
