WHEREAS, the Revised Code of Washington, Section 52.30.060, states that the name of a fire protection district shall be changed, as proposed by resolution of the board of fire commissioners of -the district, upon the adoption of a resolution approving the change by the county legislative authority; and WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13 passed Resolution 2006-09 proposing to adopt the name Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 21. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13's proposal to adopt the name Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 21 is hereby approved.
