In order to produce revenue adequate to continue to pay the cost of the providing of life protection services as described in SECTION 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 2009 and collect in 2010, a general tax on taxable property within the District, maintenance and operation cost in the amount of $.28 cents per $1000 dollars of assessed valuation. Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the District for their ratification or rejection, at an election to be held on November 3'd, 2009, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made.
