PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 18, PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE
QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE DISTRICT AT AN ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN
THE DISTRICT ON NOVEMBER 5, 1991, OF A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE
LEVY OF A REGULAR PROPERTY TAX IN THE SUM OF $.50 PER $1,000 ASSESSED

SERVICES ALL AS PROVIDED IN WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
#18 RESOLUTION #136 AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON RCW
84.52.069
WHEREAS: It is the judgment of the Board of Commissioners of the
district that it is essential and necessary for the
protection of the health and life of the residents of
the district that the emergency medical services enum-
erated in this resolution be provided by the district.
Such services will necessitate the expenditure of
revenues for maintenance, operations and equipment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM
COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 18, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the district shall provide emergency
medical care or emergency medical services, including related
personnel costs, training for such personnel, and related equipment,
supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of
emergency medical care or emergency medical services.
SECTION 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay
the costs of the providing of life protection services as described in
Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient
to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy
in 1992, and collect in 1992, a general tax on taxable property within
the district, maintenance and operation costs in the amount of $.50
per $1,000 of assessed valuation.
SECTION 3.' There shall be submitted to the qualified
electors of the district for their ratification or rejection, at an
election on November 5, 1991 the question of whether or not such levy
for maintenance and operations shall be made.

Yesterday you informed me that Fire Protection
District #18 will correct an error in Resolution #136
regarding the first year of the levy, On the condition that an
amended Resolution is filed in which the first year of the
levy is consistent with the ballot title, the ballot title
shall read;
Shall :Whatcom County Fire Protection District.
#18 be authorized to levy a regular property .tax
in the sum of $ 50 per $1000 assessed valuation
each year for six consecutive years beginning
1991, to begin collection in 1992, for the
provision of Emergency Medical Services all as

For Resolution #1-91 by Fire Protection District #16,
the ballot title should read;
