Yes No EXPLANATORY STATEMENT The Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16 (Acme -Van Zandt-Wickersham) has passed a resolution requesting a levy of a regular property tax in the sum of $0.15 per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation each year for six consecutive years, beginning in 2015, to begin collection in 2016. The District provides emergency medical services (EMS), including personnel costs, training, equipment, supplies, vehicles, and structures needed for provision of such services. This levy would provide EMS funds necessary for maintenance, operations, and equipment.
