Enters ballot measure, explanatory statement, Committee For & Committee Against statements, and rebuttals in WEI. 44. Gives file to Election Coordinator. Actions by Election Coordinator: 45. WHEREAS, it is the judgement of the Board of Commissioners of the district that it is essential and necessary for the protection of the health and life of the residents of the District that the emergency medical services enumerated in this resolution are provided by the District. Such services all necessitate the expenditure of revenues for maintenance, operations and equipment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16, Whatcom.- County Washington, as follows: Section 1. That the District shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel cost, �. training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical services. Section 2. In order to produce revenue adequate to continue to pay the cost of the providing of life protection services as described in SECTION 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 20 —an oleection in 2016, a general tax on taxable property within the District, maintenance and operation costs in the amount f $1.00 per $1,000 dollars of assessed valuation. Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the District for their ratification or rejection, at an election to be held on August 4, 2015, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16, Whatcom County Washington, as follows: Section 1. That the District shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel cost, training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical services. Section 2. In order to produce revenue adequate to continue to pay the cost of the providing of life protection services as described in SECTION 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 2015 and collection in 2016, a general tax on taxable property within the District, maintenance and operation costs in the amount of/ r cents per $1,000 dollars of assessed valuation. Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the District for their ratification or rejection, at an election to be held on August 4, 2015, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made.
