THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE DISTRICT AT AN ELECTION TO BE HELD WiT 'T E DISTRICT ON AUGUST 4, III
2015 OF A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A REGULAR PROPERTY TAX, IN THE SUM OF r$1.00 PER $1,000.00
ASSESSED VALUATION EACH YEAR FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS BEGINNING IN 2015 TO BEGIN COLL$ N IN 2016 FOR THE
PROVISION OF ALL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AS PROVIDED IN WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 16 RESOLUTION 01-15
AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON RCW 84.52.069.
WHEREAS, it is the judgement of the Board of Commissioners of the district that it is essential and necessary for the protection of
the health and life of the residents of the District that the emergency medical services enumerated in this resolution are provided by
the District. Such services all necessitate the expenditure of revenues for maintenance, operations and equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16, Whatcom.-
County Washington, as follows:
Section 1. That the District shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel cost, �.
training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical
services.
Section 2. In order to produce revenue adequate to continue to pay the cost of the providing of life protection services as described
in SECTION 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall
levy in 20 —an oleection in 2016, a general tax on taxable property within the District, maintenance and operation costs in the
amount f $1.00 per $1,000 dollars of assessed valuation.
Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the District for their ratification or rejection, at an election to be held
on August 4, 2015, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made.
ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16 on this 20`h day
of April, 2015.

2015 OF A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A REGULAR PROPERTY TAX, IN THE SUM OF CENTS PER $1,000.00
ASSESSED VALUATION EACH YEAR FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS BEGINNING IN 2015 TO BEGIN COLLECTION IN 2016 FOR THE
PROVISION OF ALL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AS PROVIDED IN WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 16 RESOLUTION 01-15
AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON RCW 84.52.069.
WHEREAS, it is the judgement of the Board of Commissioners of the district that it is essential and necessary for the protection of
the health and life of the residents of the District that the emergency medical services enumerated in this resolution are provided by
the District. Such services all necessitate the expenditure of revenues for maintenance, operations and equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16, Whatcom
County Washington, as follows:
Section 1. That the District shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel cost,
training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical
services.
Section 2. In order to produce revenue adequate to continue to pay the cost of the providing of life protection services as described
in SECTION 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall
levy in 2015 and collection in 2016, a general tax on taxable property within the District, maintenance and operation costs in the
amount of/ r cents per $1,000 dollars of assessed valuation.
Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the District for their ratification or rejection, at an election to be held
on August 4, 2015, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made.
ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 16 on this 20th day
of April, 2015.

RE: Proposition 1, 2015
The Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire
Protection District No. 16 (Acme -Van Zandt-Wickersham) has passed a
resolution requesting a levy of a regular property tax in the sum of
($O.L) per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation each year for six
consecutive years, beginning in 2015, to begin collection in 2016.
The District provides emergency medical services (EMS),
including personnel costs, training, equipment, supplies, vehicles, and
structures needed for provision of such services. This levy would
provide EMS funds necessary for maintenance, operations, and
equipment
