Auditors RESOLUTION NO. 120 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11, PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE DISTRICT AT AN ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN THE DISTRICT ON NOVEMBER 3, 1998, OF A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A REGULAR PROPERTY TAX IN THE SUM OF $.20 (MAX.) PER $1,000 ASSESSED VALUATION EACH YEAR FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS BEGINNING IN 1998 TO BE COLLECTED IN 1999 FOR THE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ALL AS PROVIDED IN WHATCOM COUNTY F.P.D. #11, RESOLUTION # 120 AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON 84.52.069. WHEREAS: It is the judgement of the Board of Commissioners of the district that it is essential and necessary for the protect- ion of the health and life of the residents of the district that the emergency medical services enumerated in this resolution be provided by the district. Such services will necessitate the expenditure of revenues for main- tenance, operations and equipment. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the district shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel costs, training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical care or emergency medical services. Section 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay the costs of the providing of life protection services as described in Section 1. of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 1998, and collect in 1999, a general tax on taxable property within the district, maintenance and operation costs in the amount of $.20 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. Section 3. There shall be sumitted to the qualified electors of the district for their ratification or rejection, at an election on November 3, 1998 the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made.
