RESOLUTION NO. 90
Q resolution of the Board of Fire commissioners of Whatcom
County Fire Protection District No. 11, providing for the submission
to the qualified electors of the district at an election to be held on
November 3, 1992 in conjuction wuth the Whatcom County Fire Protection
District No. 11;
WHEREAS, in the judgement of the Board of Fire Commissioners, it
is essential and necessary for protection of the public health,life,
and property, that necessary equipment and apparatus be acquired and
public services be provided to adequately meet the safety needs of
the district's community; and,
WHEREAS, the cost increase of operation has exceeded revenue,
because of restrictions imposed by RCW 84-55.010;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners
of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 11 submit a proposal
to the qualified electors of said district requesting authorization
to increase the regular property tax levy to $/-00 per thousand of
assessed valuation, which is aythorized under RCW 84.55.050.

WHEREASs It is the judgement of the Board of Commissioners of the
district that it is essential and necessary for the pro-
tection of the health and life of the residents of the
district that the emergency medical services enumerated
in this resolution be provided by the district. Such
services will necessitate the expenditure of revenues for
maintenance, operations and equipment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM
COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the district shall provide emergency medical
care or emergency medical services, including related personnel costs,
training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles
and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical care or
emergency medical services.
Section 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay
the costs of the providing of life protection services as described
in Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds suff-
icient to assure the continuation of such services, the district
shall levy in 1993, and collect in 1993, a general tax on taxable
property wuthin the district, maintenance and operation costs in the
amount of .;- ° per $1,000 of assessed valuation.
Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors
of the district for their ratification or rejection, at an election
on November 3 992 the question of whether or,not such levy far
enance alicV operations shall be made.
