WHEREASs It is the judgement of the Board of Commissioners of the district that it is essential and necessary for the pro- tection of the health and life of the residents of the district that the emergency medical services enumerated in this resolution be provided by the district. Such services will necessitate the expenditure of revenues for maintenance, operations and equipment. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the district shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel costs, training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical care or emergency medical services. Section 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay the costs of the providing of life protection services as described in Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds suff- icient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 1993, and collect in 1993, a general tax on taxable property wuthin the district, maintenance and operation costs in the amount of .;- ° per $1,000 of assessed valuation. Section 3.
