EMS 1 � A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE t PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 10, PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO -THE -QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE DISTRICT AT AN ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN THE DISTRICT ON ¢4 SEPTEMBER 18, 1990, OF A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A REGULAR ;.,PROPERTY TAX IN THE SUM OF $ .25 PER $1000 ASSESSED VALUATION EACH YEAR FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS BEGINNING IN 1990 TO BE COLLECTED IN 1991 FOR THE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ALL AS PROVIDED IN WHATCOM COUNTY F.F.D. #10 RESOLUTION # EMS 1 AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON RCW 84.52.069 WHEREAS: It is the judgment of the Board of Commissioners of the district that it is essential and necessary for the protection of the health and life of the residents of the district that the emergency medical services enumerated in this resolution be provided by the district. Such services will necessitate the expenditure of revenues for maintenance, operations and equipment. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 10, STATE OF WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the district shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel costs, training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical care of emergency medical services. SECTION 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay the costs of the providing of life protection services as described in Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 1990, and collect in 1991, a general tax on taxable property within the district, maintenance and operation costs in the amount of $ .25 per $1000 of assessed valuation. SECTION 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the district for their ratification or refection, at an election on September 18, 1990, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be de. Carmichael I have reviewed the ballot titles for the Resolutions from Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 9, Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 10, Meridian School District No. 505 and Point Roberts Park and Recreation District No. 1. I approve as to the form of the Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 9 and Point Roberts Park and Recreation District No. 1 ballot titles in their current form. I made minor changes to the proposed ballot titles for the Whatcom County Fire Protection No. 10 and the Meridian School District No. 505. (see attached).
