Be it therefore resolved, by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 9, State of Washington as follows: SECTION 1. That the district shall provide emergency medical care or emergency medical services, including related personnel costs, training for such personnel, and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed for the provision of emergency medical care of emergency medical services. SECTION 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay the costs of the providing of life protection services as described in Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the district shall levy in 1999, and collect in 2000, a general tax on taxable property within the district, maintenance and operation costs in the amount of $0.35 per $1000. of assessed valuation. SECTION 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the district for their ratification or refection, at an election on November 2, 1999, the question of whether or not such levy for maintenance and operations shall be made. Adopted this 13th day of July, 1999, at the regular meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 9.
