Board of Fire Commissioners To the Whatcom County Council: The Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire District 8 has determined that it is in the best interest of the Fire District to increase its Board membership from three members to five members as provided by RCW 52.14.015. The Board of Fire Commissioners for Whatcom County Fire District 8 has_ voted unanimously at the regular Board of Commissioners meeting held May. 5,1999 to submit a resolution to the Whatcom County Council who is the legislative authority for the county, which Whatcom County Fire District 8 is located. The resolution calls for a Special Election to be held on the question of "Shall the board of commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District #8 be increased from three members to five members? The next special election date is September 14, 1999 the date of the Primary Election. Therefore, this election to be held within the district will be held on September 14, 1999.
