General Obligation Bonds - $850,000
For the purpose of constructing and equip-
ping an addition to the Blaine Community
Center, including furnishings and equipment
therefor, and other capital improvements,
shall the City of Blaine issue general obliga-
tion bonds in the principal amount of not to
exceed $850,000, both principal and interest
payable out of annual property tax levies in
excess of regular property tax levies, matur-
ing within a maximum of 10 years, as
provided in Ordinance No. 2084?

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BLAINE, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO THE-BLAINE
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Blaine, Washington, have,'_- .
through initiative and referendum, presented a petition to
the Blaine City Council requesting that the City Council
adopt an ordinance abolishing the Blaine Municipal Airport
as a municipal function; and,
WHEREAS, it is the decision of the Blaine City Council that the
decision to retain or abolish the Airport should be put to a
vote of the citizens of the City of Blaine; and,
WHEREAS, said vote is provided for in RCW 35.17.260;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Blaine, Washington:
That pursuant to RCW 35.17.260 and RCW 35A.29.040, the
Whatcom County Auditor, as ex officio elections officer,
is hereby directed to place the following ballot measure
on the ballot for the City election to be held on
November 3, 1992.
"SHALL AN ORDINANCE BE ADOPTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAINE, WASHINGTON,
ABOLISHING THE BLAINE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AS A
MUNICIPAL FUNCTION?"
