The proposition authorizes the District to restore its regular property tax levy to an amount not to exceed ($.1 125) per $1,000.00 of assessed value for collection in 2012 to pay operational cost increases, and set the limit factor at 100% plus the annual percentage change for each of the six years (2012 to 2017). 2016 levy amount will be used to calculate subsequent levy limits. I have also asked the district to confirm that the levy lid left is authorized under 84.55.050 which requires only a majority vote to pass. Another issue that I have is the wording Levy Lid Lift - Permanent in the heading. it does not appear to me to be permanent because the levy lid lift is for six years. What do you think?
