In order to provide Twenty Four Thousand Five Hundred ($24,500.00) Dollars for the General Fund of the District, the District authorizes the Whatcom County Council to levy a tax of approximately Five Cents ($.05) per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assess valuation (based upon One Hundred Percent (100%) of true and fair value) to be levied in 2006, for collection for six years beginning in 2007, upon all taxable property within the District In excess of the maximum annual tax levy permitted by law to be levied for the District without the vote of the electors, as limited by Section 84.52 RCW. Upon approval by the voters of Proposition No 1 hereinafter set forth, the District may use the proceeds of such levy during the 2007 calendar year, and may expend the proceeds thereof to pay the general expenses of maintenance and operations of the District as may be authorized or allowed by law for the use of excess levy funds. Section 3: The Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Cemetery District No. 1 hereby find and declare a submission to the qualified electors of the District a proposition of whether or not such excess tax should be levied for their ratification or rejections at the general election to be held there in on November 7, 2006. The Whatcom County Auditor, as ex-officio, supervisor of elections in Whatcom County, is hereby requested to also find and to call and conduct said levy election to be held within the District on said day and to submit to he qualified electors of the District the proposition hereinafter set forth. W Upon approval by the voters of Proposition No 1 hereinafter set forth, the District may use the proceeds of such levy during the 2007 calendar year, and may expend the proceeds thereof to pay the general expenses of maintenance and operations of the District as may be authorized or allowed by law for the use of excess levy funds. Section 3: The Board of Commissioners of Whatcom County Cemetery District No. 1 hereby find and declare a submission to the qualified electors of the District a proposition of whether or not such excess tax should be levied for their ratification or rejections at the primary election to be held there in on September 19, 2006. The Whatcom County Auditor, as ex-officio, supervisor of elections in Whatcom County, is hereby requested to also find and to call and conduct said levy election to be held within the District on said day and to submit to he qualified electors of the District the proposition hereinafter set forth. The Secretary of the Board of Commissioners is hereby authorized and directed to certify said proposition in the following form: Proposition No. 1 WHATCOM COUNTY CEMETERY DISTRICT NO. I Shall a tax of approximately Ten Cents ($.10) per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed value (based upon One Hundred Percent (100%) of true and fair value) to provide Forty Nine Thousand ($49,000.00) Dollars for operations and maintenance purposes be levied for the Whatcom County Cemetery District No. 1 in 2006, for collection for six years beginning in 2007, upon all taxable property within the District, all as specified in Whatcom County Cemetery District No l resolution No 01- 06?
