The undersigned residents of and registered voters in the area
described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, do hereby request that the
Acme Water District be formed and that a tax of ONE AND 25/100THS
DOLLARS ($1.25) per thousand dollars of assessed valuation be
levied against the property included within the boundaries of the
district for one (1) year to pay for general preliminary expenses
of the district. The undersigned further represent to you:
1. The property proposed to be included in the Acme
Water District is wholly situated in Whatcom County and
the description thereof is attached hereto, marked
"Exhibit All and is, by this reference incorporated herein
as though fully set forth.
2. The object for the creation of -,the Acme Water
District is to acquire and operate the Acme Water
Association water distribution system, to acquire and
operate a water well now being drilled for our benefit
pursuant to a grant from the Washington State Department
of Community Development and to facilitate the
improvement of said water distribution system.
3. The establishment of the Acme Water District will
be conducive to the public health, convenience and
welfare.
4. The establishment of the Acme Water District will
be of benefit to all of the property included in the
district.
5. We hereby nominate the following persons to be
commissioners of the Acme Water District, if it is
formed:
Position 1:
Position 2:
Jim Baker
Gary Smith
Position 3: Sara Galbraith
6. The undersigned represent at least TWENTY-FIVE
PERCENT (25%) of the qualified electors of the proposed
Acme Water District residing within the district
described herein.
