Roll Call
Committee member Jon Scanlon called the meeting to order at 11:39 a.m.
in a hybrid meeting.
Present: 7 - Jon Scanlon, Mark Stremler, Ben Elenbaas, Elizabeth Boyle, Jessica Rienstra,
Barry Buchanan, and Kaylee Galloway
Announcements
Special Order of Business
1. AB2026-008 Nomination and appointment of Committee Chair
Elenbaas nominated Councilmember Stremler to serve as chair.
Boyle stated she is interested in serving as chair.
Buchanan withdrew his name from consideration for vice chair.
Scanlon moved to nominate Stremler and Boyle for Chair, with a vote of
one.
The motion was seconded by Galloway.
Boyle was appointed as chair by the following vote:
Boyle: 5 - Boyle, Buchanan, Galloway, Rienstra, and Scanlon
Stremler: 2 - Elenbaas and Stremler
Boyle assumed the role of chair for the appointment of up to two vice
chairs.
Stremler stated he was interested, Rienstra withdrew her name from
consideration, Buchanan had previously withdrawn his name, and Scanlon
armed that he was interested.
Galloway moved and Scanlon seconded to appoint councilmembers Scanlon
and Stremler as vice chairs.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 7 - Boyle, Buchanan, Elenbaas, Galloway, Rienstra, Scanlon, and
Stremler
Nay: 0
