SUBJECT: City Ballot Proposition/Citywide Election of Councilmembers
This will confirm our phone conversation concerning the ballot
proposition on the subject of citywide election of City Councilmembers.
Because the proposition was not published in accordance with the
provisions of the City Charter, the proposition is void.
Due to the lateness of this discovery, the City recognizes that
there is insufficient time to remove the proposition from the ballot.
Nevertheless, any votes which might be cast on the matter will not count
and will have no binding effect.

elected by citywide vote.
