The purpose of this meeting is to continue discussions for response to the upcoming 2022-2023
flooding season, building on the suggestions, needs, and procedures review following a similar
meeting on August 9. The meeting will focus on building a unified emergency public messaging
and notifications plan of action, finalizing any recommended zones or geographic area evacuation
timelines, and looking to the cities to have a pre -determined plan and location for debris
management if needed.
The goal of this meeting is to create a bulleted action list that will be implemented at least three
days prior to expected overflow and flooding. The action list will address pre -flood actions,
flooding response actions, and initial recovery actions. This will include, but not be limited to:
consolidated and coordinated messaging, use of the new evacuation protocols, communications,
shelter actions, road closures, search and rescue plans, and necessary staffing (including
preliminary ICS Command and general staff positions).
This meeting is intended for local elected and public safety officials. No public comment will be
taken at this meeting.
