I �1 No - 95 TURN OVER FOR NEXT PAGE VOTE ALL PAGES TO CONTINUE YOUR VOTING GO TO NEXT PAGE E1 2 3 4 5 6 INTRODUCED BY PROPOSED BY: DATE: RESOLUTION NO. 87-41 Johnson Elections 9/17/87 A RESOLUTION SETTING A SPECIAL ELECTION WITHIN THE CITY OF SUHAS TO DETERMINE IF THE CITY OF SUHAS SHALL BE ANNEXED INTO THE RURAL LIBRARY DISTRICT WHEREAS, R.C.W. 27.12.360 allows a city the size of Sumas to enact an Ordinance annexing it to the rural library district; and 711 and, 8 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 WHEREAS, the City of Sumas has enacted such an ordinance; WHEREAS, the,ordinance has been reviewed by the State Librarian in accordance with'state law; and, WHEREAS, after this has occurred R.C.W. 27.12.370 indicates that the County legislative authority shall by resolution call a special election to be held in such city at the next date provided in R.C.W. 29.13.010. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a special election conducted by the Whatcom County Auditor's Office shall be set within the City of Sumas for the first Tuesday in November, which is the 3rd day of November, 1987. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Auditor's Office shall cause notices of said special election to be given in accordance with R.C.W. 29.27.080. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said election shall be conducted in accordance with R.C.W. 27.12.370 and the other general laws of the State of Washington as applied by the Whatcom County Auditor.
