WASHINGTON ON THE 6TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1984 FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS IN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 3, WHATCOM
COUNTY, WASHINGTON THE PROPOSITION TO RESTORE THE REGULAR PROPERTY TAX LEVY

District No. 3, Whatcom County, Washington on the 6th day of November,

WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT NO. 3
RESOLUTION NO. 1984- aO
A resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire
Protection District No. 3, providing for the submission to the qualified
electors of the district, at a special election to be held therein, in
conjunction with the Gemmral election on November 6, 1984, of the prop-
osition which would authorize lifting the 106% lid law for Whatcom County
Fire Protection District No. 3 for a period of one year.
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the District, it
is essential and necessary for the protection of public health, life and property,
to adequately supply the residents of said district with fire suppression capabilities.
WHEREAS, to better meet the increased operational and maintenance costs and to
improve upon facilities, equipment and personnel to be able to meet the demand for
improved service.
WHEREAS, for the purpose of providing funds for the procurement of equipment to
maintain the same level of services for all electors of the District.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County
Fire Protection District No. 3 submit a proposal to the qualified electors df said
district requesting authorization to restore the $1.00 per thousand dollars of -
assessed valuation, for one year, which does not exceed the statutory limit autho-
rized by law, without a vote of the resident electors of said District.

Shall Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 3 be authorized to
restore the regular property tax levy to $1.00 per thousand dollars of
assessed value?
(This shall not be construed to authorize an excess levy and shall be
subject to otherwise applicable statutory limits.)
