No. 13 AUTHORIZING PROPERTY TAX LEVY Shall Whatcom County Fire Protec- tion District No. 13 be authorized to increase it's regular property tax levy to $1.50 per thousand YES 8 dollars of assessed value per Reso- lution 1984-11? County Council �A�� 4 Cit.uJ Prosecuting Attorn _ RESOLUTION NO. 84-11 A Resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13, providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the district at a special election to be held on February 5, 1985 of the proposition which would authorize lifting the 106% LID Law for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13. WHEREAS, in the judgement of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the District, it is essential and necessary for the protection of the public health, life, and property, that necessary equipment be improved and replaced to adequately supply the residents of said district with fire suppression capabilities, and WHEREAS, the inflationary increase of operation has exceeded the Revenue, due to restrictions imposed by Legislative action, from the property tax. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Whatcom County Fire District No. 13 submit a proposal to the qualified electors of said District requesting authorization to increase to $1.50 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation, which does not exceed the statutory limit authorized by law, without a vote of the resident electors of said district.
