Office of the Auditor of Whatcom County Bellingham, Washington September 24, 1982 Pursuant to a notice given by Joan Ogden, County Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington, we the undersigned, Will Roehl, Chairman of the County Council of said County and David S. Mc Eachran, Prosecuting Attorney of said County, now meet with Joan Ogden, County Auditor of said County, at the County seat of said County on the 24th day of September, 1982 for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast in Water District No. 11, Whatcom County, Washington, Water District No. 15, Whatcom County, Washington and Sewer District No. 2, Whatcom County, Washington at the Special Election held on Tuesday, September 14, 1982, as shown on the poll books. COUNTY OF WHATCOM } I, Joan Ogden, County Auditor of Whatcom County, State of Washington, do solemnly swear that the returns purporting to be the election returns of Water District No. 11, Whatcom County, Washington, Water District No. 15, Whatcom County, Washington and Sewer District No. 2, Whatcom County, Washington have been in no wise altered by additions or erasures, and that they are the same as when I received them, except that.the; votes of the absentee voters have been added, SO HELP PIE GOD. COUNTY OF WHATCOM The undersigned, being the officers designated by the law and constituting the Canvassing Board in and for Water District No. 11, Whatcom County, Washington, Water District No. 15, Whatcom County, Washington and Sewer District No. 2, Whatcom County, Washington, having met for the purpose of canvassing the votes concerning the following propositions: WATER DISTRICT NO. 11 SPECIAL ELECTION - PROPOSITION NO. 1 Submitted by Water District No. 11 LEVY FOR GENERAL PURPOSE FUNDS Shall Water District No. 11 of Whatcom County, Washington levy for the calendar year of 1983 an additional tax of $1.25 per $1,000.00 of assessed value in the District for the purpose of providing approximately $25,000.00 of funds for developing and carrying out the General Purposes of said District to be levied in 1982 and collected in 1983, as more specifically provided in a resolution of the Commissioners of said District adopted the 22nd day of July, 1982? Council Prosecuting Attorr.-e WFidtcom County uaitor om wnatcom noun WATER DISTRICT NO. 11 OF WHATC011 COUNTY, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION No, 78 A RESOLUTION of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No, 11 of Whatcom County, Washington, providing for the submission to the voters of said District at a Special Election to be held on the 14th day of September, 1982, a proposition authorizing the levy of an additional tax of $1.25 per $1.,000.00 of assessed valuation to provide funds for plans and legal services for the period of January 1, 1983 to December 31, 1983 for the carrying out of the General Purposes of the said District ?AREAS it has been determined, by the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 11 of Whatcom County, Washington that the sum of approximately $25,000.00 in excess of millage previously voted is needed for the purpose of providing funds for plans and legal services for the period of January 1, 1983 to December 31, 1983s for the carrying out of the General Purposes of the said District; and WHEREAS there is no other source available for said required funds, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 11 of Whatcons County, Washington as follows: Section 1. It is here by found and declared that the carrying out of the General Purposes of the District requires the District to submit to the qualified voters of the District for their ratification or rejection of the proposition of a Special Levy of $1.25 for each $13000,00 of assessed value to be voted upon at the election to be held on the lath day of September, 1982. Section 2. It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists requiring the calling of such Special Election.
