BAKER SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 507, WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 1979. Office of the Auditor of Whatcom County Bellingham, Washington September 25, 1979 Pursuant to a notice given by Joan Ogden, Whatcom County Auditor, we the undersigned, John Louws, County Executive and William A. Gardiner, Chief Civil Deputy of said Whatcom County, now meet with Joan Ogden, County Auditor of said County, at the County seat of said County on the 25th day of September., 1979, for the purpose of canvassing the votes in the City of Bellingham, City of Blaine, City of Ferndale, City of Nooksack, Blaine School District No. 503 and Mt. Baker School District No. 507 voting precincts of said County on Tuesday, September 18, 1919, the absentee votes numbering 42 having heretofore on September 25, 1979 been opened and added to the figures. Joan Ogden, County Auditor as aforesaid, now makes oath as follows: ! OATH OF AUDITOR STATE OF WASHINGTON) Y ) ss. COUNTY OF WHATCOM ) I, Joan Ogden, County Auditor of Whatcom County. State of Washington, do solemnly swear that the returns purporting to be the election returns of the. City of Bellingham, City of Blaine, City of FErndale, City of Nooksack, Blaine School District No. 503 and Mt. Baker School District No. 507, votZing precincts in Whatcom County, Washington have been in no wise altered by additions or erasures, and that they are the same as when I received them, except that the votes of the absentee voters have been added, SO HELP ME GOD: 9"-4-1-- aOAN OGDE , Whatcom County Auditor Subscribed and sworn to before me this 25th day of September, 1977. Gardiner proceed as a Canvassing Board in and for said Whatcom County to canvass the votes cast in the City of Bellingham, City of Blaine, City of Ferndale, City of Nooksack, Blaine School District No. 503 and Mt. Baker School District No. 507 voting precincts in said county on Tuesday, September 18, 1979. The result of said canvass as found and determined by us is set forth herein and recorded in Volume 1 of Elections Records. r CERTIFICATE OF CANVASSING BOARD STATE OF WASHINGTON) COUNTY OF WHATCOM ) ss. The undersigned, being the officers designated by the law and constituting the Canvassing Board in and for the County of Whatcom, State cif Washington, hereby certify that the foregoing gages in Whatcom County Elections Records, Volume 1, is a true and correct canvass of the votes, except as modified by the votes of absentee voters, polled in the City of Bellingham, City -of Blaine, City of Ferndale, City of Nooksack, Blaine School District No. 503, and Mt. Baker School District No. 507, County of Whatcom, State of Wash- ington, at the Primary and Special Election held in the several precincts of said County on the third Tuesday, being the 18th day of September, 1979, as taken from the official returns. That said statement and returns contain the names of all of the contestants for said Primary Election, together with the title of the office sought and the number of votes received by each candidate and each proposition. That the total number of registered voters in all the voting precincts of City of Bellingham, City of Blaine, City of Ferndale, City of Nooksack, Blaine School District No. 503 and Mt. A RESOLUTION RELATING TO ELECTIONS AND DIRECTING THE WHATCOM COUNTY AUDITOR AS EX OFFICIO COV'TTY ELECTIONS OFFICER TO PLACE ON THE BALLOT FOR THE SEPTEMBER 18, 1979 PRIMARY ELECTION All ADVISORY MEASURE RELATING TO FUNDING FOR A 911 EMERGENCY CO'N2,112NICATIONS SYSTEM. WFY—RFAS, large numbers of Bellingham residents have expressed support for the establishment of a 911 emergency communications system within the City of Bellingham, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that such a system can only be established if additional funds are made available to support the system, and I-THERFAS, the Bellingham City Council finds that the imposition of an additional telephone tax not to exceed 3% would be an equitable way to fund the system, and 1,7IIEF,AS, it is the desire of the Cit-y Council to consider by virtue of an advisory ballot public support for the establishment of the system and the imposition of the tax prior to final deternina- tion of the City Council, NO1',, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIES COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELLINGHLM: That pursuant to RCW 35.22.280(1) the Whatcom County Auditor as Ex officio elections officer is hereby directed to place the following ballot measure on the ballot for the City primary election to be held on September 18, 1979:.
