WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON, INITIATIVE MEASURE NO. 61; INITIATIVE

Pursuant to a notice given by Joan Ogden, County Auditor
of Whatcom County, Washington, we the undersigned, Shirley Van
Zanted, Chairman of the Whatcom County Council and David S.
Mc Eachran, Prosecuting Attorney of said County, now meet with
Joan Ogden for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast in the
County of Whatcom, at the General Election held on Tuesday,
November 6, 1979, as shown on the poll books. Joan Ogden,
County Auditor as aforesaid, now makes oath as follows:

I, Joan Ogden, County Auditor of Whatcom County, State of
Washington, do solemnly swear that the returns purporting to be the
election returns of the County of Whatcom have been in no wise
altered by additions or erasures, and that they are the same as
when I received them, except that the votes of the absentee voters
have been added, SO HELP ME GOD.

Immediately after the oath by the County Auditor, the said
Joan Ogden, Shirley Van Zanten, and David S. Mc Eachran proceed as
a Canvassing Board in and for said Whatcom County to canvass the
votes cast in the voting precincts of said Whatcom County on Tues-
day, the 6th day of November, 1979.
The result of said canvass as found and determined by us is
set forth herein and recorded in Volume 2 of Election Records.

We the undersigned, do hereby certify that the foregoing pages in
Whatcom County Elections Records, Volume 2, is a true and correct
canvass of the votes, except as modified by the votes of the absentee
voters, polled in the City of Bellingham, City of Blaine, City of Everson,
City of FErndale, City of Lynden, City of Nooksack and Sumas City,
County of Whatcom, State of Washington, at the General and Special Election
held in these cities on the first Tuesday, being the 6th day of November,
1979, as taken from the official returns.
That said statement and returns contain the names of all contestants
and propositions, together with the title of the office sought and the
number of notes received.
That the total number of registered voters in the voting precincts
of the City of Bellingham, as reported was 23,714. That the number of
registered voters in the voting precincts of the City of Blaine was 1,026.
That the number of registered voters in the voting precincts of the City
of Everson was 402. That the number of registered voters in the City of
Ferndale was 1,539. That the total number of registered voters in the
City of Lynden precincts was 2,182. That the number of registered voters
in the City of Nooksack was 191. That the number of registered voters
in the voting precinct of the City of Sumas was 354.

Pursuant to a notice given by Joan Ogden, County Auditor of Whatcom
County, Washington, we the undersigned, Shirley Van Zanten, Chairman of
the Whatcom County Council and David S. Mc Eachran, Prosecuting Attorney
of said County, now meet with Joan Ogden for the purpose of canvassing
the votes cast in the County of Whatcom, at the General and Special Election
held on Tuesday, November 6, 1979, as shown on the roll books. Joan Ogden,
County Auditor as aforesaid, now makes oath as follows:
