Office of the Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington Bellingham, Washington October 5, 1976 Pursuant to a notice given by Wella Hansen, County Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington, we the undersigned, C. J. Johnson, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of said County, and David S. Mc Eachran, Prosecuting Attorney of said County, now meet with Wella Hansen, County Auditor of said County for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast in all of the precincts comprising the Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13 and the Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 14, as shown on the Poll Books in Whatcom County, Washington. I, Wella Hansen, County Auditor of Whatcom County, State of Washington, do solemnly swear that the returns purporting to be the election returns of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13 and Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 14, Whatcom County, held on the 21st day of September, 1976, have been in no wise altered by additions or erasures, and that they are the same as when I received them, SO HELP ME GOD. COUNTY OF WHATCOM ) The undersigned, being the officers designated by the law and constitut- ing the Canvassing Board in and for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13 and Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 14, Whatcom County, State of Washington, having met for the purpose of canvassing the votes concerning the following propositions: PROPOSITION NO. 1 Submitted by Fire Protection District No. 13 AUTHORIZING PROPERTY TAX LEVY Shall Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 13, Blaine Washington, be authorized to increase its regular property tax levy to $1.00 per thousand dollars of assessed value commencing with collection in 1977? Section II For the purpose of purchasi n­addittional fire fi e;hti �?g equi_pment,the District Fire Commissioners have decided to submit to the qualified voters in the Primary Election on Se;_tember 21,1976 the proposition of authorizing lifting the 106;� lid limitation for fire District `14. The funds realized b�f the lifting of the 106 L) limitation will be used to purchases: such fire fighting tools as nozzles self-contained breathing apparatus, portable communication equipment a.nd such other small equipment as may be necessary for the eff.ectiveneSs and safet7lr of the fire fighters.
