Office of the Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington Bellingham, Washington November 22, 1976 Pursuant to a notice given by Wella Hansen, County Auditor of Whatcom County, Washington, we the undersigned, C. J. Johnson, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of said County, and David S. Mc Eachran, Prosecuting Attorney of said County, now meet with Wella Hansen, County Auditor of said County, at the County seat of said County on the 22nd day of November, 1976 for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast in all of the precincts comprising the Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 11, as shown on the Poll Books in Whatcom County, Washington. Wella Hansen, County Auditor, as aforesaid, now makes oath as follows: OATH OF AUDITOR STATE OF WASHINGTON) ) ss. COUNTY OF WHATCOM ) I, Wella Hansen, County Auditor of Whatcom County, State of Washington, do solemnly swear that the returns purporting to be the election returns of Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 11, Whatcom County, Wash- ington, held on the 2nd day of November, 1976 have been in no wise altered by additions or erasures, and that they are the same as when I received them, SO HELP ME GOD. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NUMBER 11 WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON November 2, 1976 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, November 2, 1976 a special election will be held in the above -named fire protection district for the submission to the qualified electors of said fire protection district the following proposition: PROPOSITION NO. 1 WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11 SPECIAL LEVY Shall an excess tax levy be collected in 1978 of $15,000.00 requiring approximately $1.16 per $1,000.00 assessed valuation for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 11 for purchas- ing an ambulance and for maintenance and equipment? WELLA HANSEN Whatcom County Auditor FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11 Lummi Island, Washington 96262 IN THE MATTER OF WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION ) DISTRICT NO. 11, LUMMI ISLAND, STATE OF WASHINGTON ) RESOLUTION 16 BE IT RESOLVED, by Whatcom County Fire District No. 11 that there be called a special levy to be held the 2nd day of November, 1976, for the purpose of submitting to the electors in said Fire District No. 11 the question of issue of a special levy to raise funds in the approximate amount of $15,000.009 of which $12,000.00 is for purchasing an ambulance that meets new state regulations, so that Lummi Island Fire Department can continue to transport emergency patients; and $3,000.00 for needed maintenance and equipment for the Lummi Island Fire Department. It is estimated that $1.16 per thousand of valuation additional tax levy will be required for one year to pay for said levy. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the County Auditor be authorized and instructed to take all necessary and appropriate measures for the conduct of such special levy at the general election and cause notice to be given in the manner and form required by law for giving notice of special levies. Adopted by unanimous vote of the Commissioners of Fire District No. 11, in regular open session on the 14th day of September, 1976. Which shall be submitted to the electors of said Fire District for their approval or rejection in the form of the following Ballot Title: PROPOSITION NO. 1 WHATCOM COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11 SPECIAL LEVY Shall an excess tax levy be collected in 197E of $15,000.00 requiring approximately $1.16 per $1,000.00 assessed valuation for Whatcom County Fire Protection District No. 11 for purchasing an ambulance and for maintenance and equipment.
