Resolution amending the 2024 Flood Control Zone District and Subzones Budget, request no. 7, in the
amount of $20,695 (Council acting as the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District Board of
Supervisors)
SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:
Supplemental no. 7 requests form the Flood Control Zone District Fund to appropriate $10,067 from
River & Flood and $6,361 from Natural Resources to Overhead & Administration to contribute its
share in remediation costs for the Central Shop Underground Storage Tank Project Fund. This request
also appropriates $4,267 from River & Flood to Overhead and Administration to cover its portion of
the increased utility costs through the remainder of 2024, for a net balance of $20,695

RESOLUTION NO. 2024-056
(A resolution of the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors)
AMENDMENT NO. 7 OF THE 2024 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the 2024 budget for the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District and
Subzones was adopted November 21, 2023 by Resolution 2023-047; and,
WHEREAS, changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 2024 budget;
and,
WHEREAS, the District is contributing it's share of the $2,241,000 in remediation costs for
the Central Shop Underground Storage Tank Project Fund, which is 0.44% for River & Flood
and 0.28% for Natural Resources respectively; and,
WHEREAS, unrelated to the activities above, the District is required to pay it's portion of the
increased utility costs through the remainder of 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the modifications to the budget have been assembled here for deliberation by
the Board of Supervisors,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone
District Board of Supervisors that the 2024 budget, as approved in Resolution 2023-047, is
hereby amended, adding the following amounts to the budgets included therein:
