ESTABLISHING REGULAR WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING DATES FOR 2025
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has set every other Tuesday as its regular
meeting schedule; and
WHEREAS, all departments should plan to schedule agenda items in accordance with
the Council's approved meeting schedule to avoid the need for special meetings; and
WHEREAS, it is the Council's policy to plan for breaks in its schedule in August and
December, and to avoid scheduling meetings on specific dates during the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that regular
Council meetings shall be scheduled for the following dates in 2025:
January 14 and 28
February it and 25
March 11 and 25
April 15 and 29
May 13 and 27
June 10 and 24
July 8 and 22
August 6 (Wednesday)
September 9 and 23
October 7 and 21
November 5 (Wednesday) and 18
December 9
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that when members of the County Council sit in an
administrative or legislative capacity in situations such as, but not limited to, supervisors of
special districts or members of the county health board, all business in these capacities shall
be treated as reg,ylp,r items of business during council meetings and the council's agenda shall
include a not kti ���' 8h'yjtem being considered in one of more of these other capacities.
