Roll Call
Council Chair Barry Buchanan called the meeting to order at 9:17 a.m. in a
hybrid meeting.
Present: 6 - Barry Buchanan, Tyler Byrd, Todd Donovan, Kaylee Galloway, Jon Scanlon,
and Mark Stremler
Absent: 1 - Ben Elenbaas
Announcements
Committee Discussion
Attorney Present: George Roche.
Buchanan stated that discussion of agenda item one may take place in
executive session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b)]. The second item may
take place in executive session pursuant to RCW42.30.110 (1) (i)]. Executive
session will conclude no later than 9:55 a.m. If the meeting extends beyond
the stated conclusion time, Council Staff will make a public announcement.
Donovan moved to go into executive session until no later than 9:55 a.m. to
discuss the agenda item(s) pursuant to the RCW citation(s). The motion was
seconded by Byrd.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 6 - Buchanan, Byrd, Donovan, Galloway, Scanlon, and Stremler
Nay: 0
Absent: 1 - Elenbaas
1. AB2024.446 Discussion with Parks Department staff regarding potential property acquisition
[Discussion of this item may take place in executive session (closed to the public)
pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b)]
This agenda item was DISCUSSED.
2. AB202 462 Discussion of pending litigation with Civil Deputy Prosecutor, George Roche, re;
national opioid litigation and the opportunity to amend complaints to add additional
defendants [Discussion of this item may take place in executive session (closed to the
public) pursuant to RCW42.30.110 (1) (i)]
