Present: 7 - Barry Buchanan, Tyler Byrd, Todd Donovan, Ben Elenbaas, Kaylee Galloway, Jon Scanlon, and Mark Stremler Announcements Committee Discussion Attorney Present: George Roche. Buchanan stated that discussion of agenda item one may take place in executive session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110 (1)(ii). Executive session will conclude no later than 10:40 a.m. If the meeting extends beyond the stated conclusion time, Council Staff will make a public announcement. He stated that Council is not expected to take further action on this later. Galloway moved to go into executive session until no later than 10:40 a.m. to discuss the agenda item(s) pursuant to the RCW citation(s) as announced by the Council Chair. The motion was seconded by Byrd. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7 - Byrd, Donovan, Elenbaas, Galloway, Scanlon, Stremler, and Buchanan Nay: 0 At 10:40 a.m. Council staff announced for the Council Chair that the next meeting (Finance and Administrative Services Committee), scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m., will be delayed until 11 a.m. The executive session was extended. AB2024.-525 Discussion with Civil Deputy, George Roche, regarding litigation Whatcom County reasonably believes may be commenced in relation to Whatcom County Contract 202111028 [Discussion of this item may take place in executive session (closed to the public) pursuant to RCW 42.30.110 (1)(ii)] This agenda item was DISCUSSED.
