Announcements
Committee Discussion and Recommendation to Council
1. AB2024-289 Resolution approving the Drayton Harbor Shellfish Recovery and Protection Plan
2024 update
Ingrid Enschede, Public Works Department, briefed the Councilmembers
and stated she and the Drayton Harbor Shellfish Protection District
Advisory Committee members that are present are available for questions.
Donot,an moved that the Resolution be RECOWAENDED FOR
APPROVAL.
Galloway stated the format for the report is one they could use in many of
their documents. She loved seeing the progress report on what they are
working on as well as addressing some of the emerging needs.
Scanlon asked whether anything had changed in the document since the
Water Work Session (where they last discussed it, on April 16, 2024) and
Enschede stated it is the exact same document. Scanlon stated he would be
interested in learning more about the process for reopening the shellfish
beds to the north of the entrance to the harbor to see if that would be
possible at some point.
Enschede stated they can report back if there is more information on that.
