ORDINANCE NO. 2023-080
CLOSING MARINE DRIVE, LOCUST AVENUE TO ALDERWOOD AVENUE FUND 380
WHEREAS, on November 20, 2018, Ordinance 2018-070 created the Marine Drive,
Locust Avenue to Alderwood Avenue Fund and funded the project; and,
and,
WHEREAS, the project has now been completed; and,
WHEREAS, the project fund is no longer needed; and,
WHEREAS, the Road Fund 108 was the sole contributing fund toward the project;
WHEREAS, the current cash balance in the fund is approximately $181,272; and,
WHEREAS, remaining cash in the fund should be returned to the Road Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
Marine Drive, Locust Avenue to Alderwood Avenue Fund be dissolved and its remaining cash
balance be returned to the Road Fund.
