ORDINANCE NO. 2023-074
CLOSING TRIAGE CENTER EXPANSION FUND 374
WHEREAS, on August 8, 2017 Ordinance 2017-046 created the Triage Center
Expansion Fund and funded the project; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Improvement fund 332 contributed $1,000,000
towards the project; and,
WHEREAS, the Behavioral Health Fund 124 fund contributed $3,000,000 towards
the project; and,
WHEREAS, the project has now been completed; and,
WHEREAS, the project fund is no longer needed; and,
WHEREAS, the current cash balance in the fund is approximately $1,197,862.32;
and,
WHEREAS, remaining cash in the fund should be returned to the Public Utilities
Improvement fund in the amount of $1,000,000; and,
WHEREAS, remaining cash in the fund should be returned to the Behavioral Health
fund in the amount of $197,862.32; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
Triage Center1,EY0'afrisi.n%Fu.nd be dissolved and its remaining cash balance be returned to
the Public Utilities Improvement fund and the Behavioral Health fund.
