Call To Order
Roll Call
Committee Chair Barry Buchanan called the meeting to order at 2 p.m. in a
hybrid meeting.
Present: 2 - Barry Buchanan, and Carol Frazey
Absent: I - Tyler Byrd
Also Present: Kaylee Galloway
Announcements
Special Presentation
1. AB"'02 3 .425„ Report from District Court Probation
The following people reported:
• Bruce Van Glubt, District Court Administrator
• Jake Wiebusch, District Court Probation
• Judge Angela Anderson, District Court
They answered whether they are seeing less reoccurrence of domestic
violence because of the domestic violence programs, and whether they are
seeing more people showing up to probation meetings because of District
Court's text messaging system. Wiebusch stated text messaging has
resulted in an increase in appointments made and in court appearances. As
for domestic violence, they will be looking at that going forward and getting
some further statistics. Judge Anderson stated it is removing a barrier. The
speakers answered whether they are having any backlogs in District Court
and stated they are seeing an increase in workload and maybe some backlog,
but they are not overwhelmed by it.
