Roll Call
Committee Chair Barry Buchanan called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m.
in a hybrid meeting.
Present: 3 - Barry Buchanan, Tyler Byrd, and Carol Frazey
Absent: None
Also Present: Todd Donovan, Ben Elenbaas, and Kaylee Galloway
Announcements
Committee Discussion and Recommendation to Council
1. AB2023-069 Ordinance amending Whatcom County Code 2.09 to conform with newly adopted
and amended Court rules
Karen Frakes, Prosecuting Attorney's Office, briefed the Councilmembers.
Frazey moved that the Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION.
Frakes and Dana Brown -Davis, Clerk of the Council, answered whether this
Ordinance was up for adoption or introduction tonight.
Clerk's note: Byrd joined the meeting around 1:06 p.m. after the briefing
and right before the vote so Frakes gave another short explanation of the
proposed Ordinance.
Frazey's motion that the Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION
carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3 - Buchanan, Byrd, and Frazey
Nay: 0
Absent: 0
