9 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FINAL 2023-2024 BUDGET OF THE POINT ROBERTS
10 TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT

12 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.73.020, the Whatcom County Council established
13 the Point Roberts Benefit District by Ordinance 91-043; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the operations of the District are governed by the Whatcom County
16 Council acting ex officio and independently; and
17
18 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 42.30, the District is subject to the Open Public
19 Meeting Act; and
20
21 WHEREAS, the District intends to approve its 2023-2024 budget in an Open Public
22 Meeting; and
23
24 WHEREAS, the District's operations plan calls for spending $20,000 each year on
25 roadside maintenance contracts;
26
27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the legislative body of the Point Roberts
28 Transportation Benefit District that the funding for the Point Roberts Transportation Benefit
29 District BudgOki�W� , 6Ved.with a biennium budget of $20,000 per year.
