Committee Chair Kaylee Galloway called the meeting to order at 10:37
a.m. in a hybrid meeting.
Present: 3 - Todd Donovan, Ben Elenbaas, and Kaylee Galloway

Also Present: Barry Buchanan, Carol Frazey, and Kathy Kershner

Special Presentation
1. AB2022�-,5883 Report from the Parks and Recreation Department
Bennett Knox, Parks and Recreation Department Director, reported on what
Parks has been doing, department priorities, and current projects. He
answered whether the EH1 trail connecting the Hertz Trail and Chanterelle
Trail on the north side of Lake Whatcom is associated with the
decommissioning of the mountain bike trail that was built illegally, whether
there are alternative places where law enforcement can go to qualify if the
Plantation Rifle Range is closed, whether community engagement and a
public announcement process for the Plantation Rifle Range have been
started, what components of the rifle range (indoor/outdoor and
pistol/high-power) will be closed and which will remain open, and what the
timeline is for that.
