Satpal Sidhu, County Executive, stated he just had a meeting with the Department of Emergency Management and the commitment they are trying to make is having three or four people deep who are assigned by each city in advance to this function and that the County should share in the training expenses. Kershner stated our emergency operations needs to have a critical look at function and efficiency and the capabilities to get the job done. As we go through the budget process, let's hope that we see some additional funding allocated to our emergency management program in such a way that if we experience emergencies we can be proactive rather than always reactive.
