Council Climate Action and Natural Committee Minutes - Final September 13, 2022 Resources Committee Council staff announced that the Executive Session would be extended and that this meeting would begin at 10:30 a.m. Call To Order Roll Call Committee Chair Kaylee Galloway called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. in a hybrid meeting. Present: 3 - Todd Donovan, Ben Elenbaas, and Kaylee Galloway Absent: None Also Present: Barry Buchanan, Tyler Byrd, Carol Frazey, and Kathy Kershner Announcements Special Presentation 1. AB2022-474 Presentation from Portage Bay Shellfish Protection District Advisory Committee and Public Works staff regarding status of shellfish recovery plan Erika Douglas, Public Works Department, gave a presentation (on file) and answered what the time scale was for the improvements in water quality at 76 percent of the fresh water stations, whether the County has a partnership with Blaine for working with stormwater as it does with Ferndale and Lynden, whether there was any discussion about merging the shellfish advisory committees (Portage Bay and Drayton Harbor) with Birch Bay Watershed and Aquatic Resources Management (BBWARM) so there is t L -.
