In coordination with the City Mayors and the Port of Bellingham it was determined that local jurisdictions could instead apply for a 50% match for their- mfi-astructure projects utilizing the EDI Fund; and WHEREAS, the jurisdictions have since submitted EDI funding requests for eligible ifi-astructure projects and those projects have all been included in the updated CEDS 2022 Project List; and WHEREAS, those both projects are listed and highlighted in Attachment "A", titled Updated CEDS 2022 Project List; and WHEREAS, RCW 82.14.370 requires that projects utilizing rural sales tax revenue must be contained in the County's overall economic development plan; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council hereby accepts the updated appendix as submitted by the Port of Bellingham. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council officially adopts the 2022 update to the 2022 Whatcom County Economic Development Strategy Appendix.
