ORDINANCE NO. 2022-033
INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN WITHIN THE PLAT OF WHISPER LAKE
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary and
expedient to install traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
WHEREAS, the roads listed below were dedicated to the County as a requirement of
subdivision approval for The Plat of Whisper Lake; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the road construction, the County Engineer's Office
reviewed, inspected, and accepted the roads; and
WHEREAS, it was found that the following newly constructed intersection located within
the subdivision should be fitted with a stop sign to help control the traffic; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
following be added to the Whatcom County Code Section 10.16.1700:
10.16.1700 STOP SIGNS.

The above stop sign is located within Section 31, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install the
appropriate sign and the Whatcom County Sheriff and Washington State Patrol be notified by a
copy of this ordinance.
