ORDINANCE NO. 2022-032
ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT WITHIN THE PLAT OF WHISPER LAKE
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to establish
speed limits on certain County Roads; and
WHEREAS, the roads within the subdivision have been reviewed, inspected and accepted
by the County Engineer's Office; and
WHEREAS, the development engineer has determined that a speed limit of 25 MPH
should be adopted on all roads within the Plat of Whisper Lake; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that speed limits be set as follows:
25 MPH ON ALL ROADS WITHIN THE PLAT OF WHISPER LAKE, LOCATED IN Section 31,
Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the following be
added to the Whatcom County Code Section 10.04.030:
10.04.030 Twenty-five miles per hour.
WHISPER LAKE. All roads within the plat of Whisper Lake, Section 31, Township
40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install the
appropriate signs and the Whatcom County Sheriff and Washington State Patrol be notified by a
copy of this ordinance.
