ORDINANCE NO. 2022-022
CHANGING THE NAME OF BEAR TRAP ROAD TO BEAR SPIRIT ROAD
WHEREAS, Bear Trap Road was originally platted in 1970; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Shauna Boyd requesting revision of the road name due to
the somewhat violent connotation that Bear "Trap" Road presents; and
WHEREAS, local residents have no objection to changing their road name to
Bear Spirit Road; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
the name of Bear Trap Road be changed to Bear Spirit Road:
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to
install the appropriate signs; and
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Sheriff's Department be provided a copy
of this ordinance.
ADOPTED this 22na day of March , 2022.
