Roll Call
Committee Chair Carol Frazey called the meeting to order at 1 p.m. in a
virtual meeting.
Present: 3 - Carol Frazey, Todd Donovan, and Rud Browne
Absent: None
Also Present: Barry Buchanan, Tyler Byrd, Ben Elenbaas, and Kathy Kershner

Committee Discussion
1. AB2021-421. Discussion with Public Works Department regarding request for temporary closure of
a portion of Gulf Road
The following people spoke and answered questions:
• Jim Karcher, Public Works Department
• Skip Sahlin, SSA Marine
• Jon Hutchings, Public Works Department Director
• Satpal Sidhu, County Executive
They answered questions about whether there are any negative
consequences that could come from closing the road, whether this is a
transfer of title or just a road closure, whether this is the site where the
proposed Gateway Pacific coal terminal was going to be, and what the
Public Works Department will do going forward to bring this back to the
Council.
This agenda item was DISCUSSED.
